Terms & Conditions – City Packers and Movers Pvt. Ltd.
1. Society Permissions & Charges

Entry/exit charges, lift usage charges (if applicable) must be directly paid by the customer.

It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain prior permissions from the housing society/association for movement of goods.
2. Third-Party Services
-
Services such as removing/fixing air-conditioners, washing machines, geysers, electric chimneys, etc. are not included in our standard quotation.

If you require City Packers and Movers to arrange such services, please inform us in advance so we can include the costs in the quotation.

If AC installation/removal is arranged by us, material costs (e.g., drilling, copper wire, pipes, gas refilling) must be borne directly by the client.
3. Preparations Before Packing

Customers are advised to remove water from storage geysers before packing begins.

Only empty gas cylinders are permitted for transportation.

Transit bolts for front-loading washing machines must be provided by the customer prior to packing.

Live plants/potted items are transported at the customer’s risk; City Packers and Movers is not responsible for loss or damage.
4. Risk Management & Valuation

The value of goods for risk coverage must be declared individually at the time of packing as per the packing list.

If no value is declared, goods will be assumed to have zero value.

Internal damages to electronic items are not covered unless there is clear external/physical damage during transit.
5. Storage Facility
-
If your destination house is not ready and warehouse storage is required, you must inform us in advance.

Extra charges will apply for storage services.
6. Packing Materials
-
All packing material used will remain the property of City Packers and Movers Pvt. Ltd.

Materials will be collected immediately after unpacking.
-
Retention of cartons (for later collection) must be mutually agreed in advance.
7. Vehicle Transportation
-
Two-wheelers – Fuel/oil tanks must be completely emptied before transit to avoid spillage.

Cars – A minimum of 10 litres of fuel must be kept in the vehicle, as carriers are not permitted to drive inside city limits at both origin and destination.
8. Notice & Scheduling

A minimum of 3 days’ prior notice is required for mobilization of resources.
9. Pricing & Taxes
-
For personal household goods movement, GST is not applicable (0%).

Any increase or decrease in volume of goods after packing will result in a revision of rates accordingly.
10. Liability Disclaimer
-
While we take utmost care in handling, packing, and transporting, certain risks are unavoidable. Customers are advised to declare the value of their goods for coverage under risk management.

City Packers and Movers Pvt. Ltd. shall not be held liable for damages arising from incorrect declarations, improper packing of personal items by the customer, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
